I only gave it 5 stars because I met Phil that day and specifically asked him to play help/slip and to turn his bass up. lol. Somehow that night they played the help/slip and phil was ON. Maybe coincidence but I love to think otherwise. anyway one of the couple times that I got to meet Phil so it was a pretty special show for me.

Subject: Great venue. Sure miss it all
I was at this run. The Omni was simply a fantastic venue for a Dead show. The crowd was always high energy. This was a good show, but I can't really say it's a 5. However, no matter how good or bad the show was, the venue made it so much better. Miss those days.

I was at this show, and in spite of the 2nd set setlist it seemed kind of "flat" to me. Just my opinion of course, but the *real* magic would occur the first night in Orlando.

Not a bad recording, it's just a shame the Soundboard has to be reduced to a cassette copy of a cassette copy. -With all the hiss that goes with it.

You did the best you could Charlie, and that's ALWAYS appreciated !

the name of the first song is not " let the good times roll". that's a different song by Shirley & Lee. the song they are playing is Good Times by Sam Cooke.

Ok stands for "all correct"

entire set is great!
1991 is the last year that has the classic GD heart in it..
1993-the end, have "something" missing (be it a feeling)

play on boys!

I went to all 3 of these Atlanta shows in 1991, they were all real good, I think I liked this night the best of the 3. And gregulator I don't think they played Miami in 1991, I think Orlando after this was the end of the tour.

I like 1991 overall, I went to a lot of shows that year, Summer Tour and the Halloween shows that I went to in 1991 were all real good also.

the first set of this one doesn't really go wrong, anywhere. Your'e getting a LTGTR>Stranger opener with they love eachother and high time tossed in for good measure, both of which were played rarely in this "era". We all know what Hornsby brings to the mix when he plays the Grand piano. The ramble on rose is a good example of this, allowing jerry to really take his 'trumpet'midi solo to another level. Second set Help>slip>franks, the only thing missing is the darkstar, but we all know what had just went down in greensboro, nc., don't we. Maybe the best post brent version of Dstar, IMo. They save the other one for the third night(4-5-91) and of course, that show should be checked out for the awesome shakedown, and the stir it up jam out of terrapin.. I guess you have to consider the run of 3 shows when judging this one. Remember, The Omni was shut out of the 'help>slip>franks' bust out spring tour 90. This second set spot is appropriate. Those spring tour closing shows of 1990 were icing on the cake, and for many heads in spring 91, going to atlanta>Orlando>miami was all icing on the cake for another great spring tour in grateful dead land, not to mention the great weather for spring break. I'd say, that every show from 3-31-91 thru Miami are 'must haves'. And, yes, i'm giving it a 5 star rating!

Why only 3 stars? This is an excellent show and a terrific recording. Second set is indeed the better part, but first set is fun too. Wish I was there....
